Dee’s Teacakes all started with Dee baking teacakes for her daughter over 25 years ago. After years of people telling her she should sell them to the world, that’s exactly what she decided to do. Dee’s main concern was 1) she wanted to make sure that everyone knew they were eating a “Dee’s Teacake” and 2) nobody would know what a teacake was. To solve her number one concern, we made sure her namesake and face were in the logo. And to make sure everyone knew what a teacake was? The tagline says it all. Test Monki designed a brand identity that evoked a vintage bake shoppe. One of Dee’s marketing pieces is her Info/Order Sheet. It starts out as a double gatefold so it looks like a chocolate bar. The first unfold tells you the story behind the brand. Upon the second fold, you can walk through the steps needed to get your own custom teacakes.
