Investing in a strong partner that helps further your business should have a clear path to a return on your investment. Test Monki takes this responsibility very seriously. We are transparent about our costs upfront for any type for project, from brand identity creation to website design to retainer agreements. It is vital to recognize that our expertise, combined with the amount of time spent on a project conducting research, crafting strategy, concepting, designing, developing, testing and measuring, is a worthwhile investment for your business with a tangible payback in the future when you let us work to the best of our abilities. It also isn’t free.
We understand that all budgets are not created equal, so we offer products and services to fit businesses of all sizes. Since we are designing a custom solution that solves your unique brand and business problems, we never use templates for our projects. Please understand that we typically have a $10k project minimum. Because we work with a variety of businesses both in size and industry, we've created the following tiers to help give you an idea of engagement costs:
Tier 1* — Small business $15-50k+
Tier 2 — Medium size business $25-75k+
Tier 3 — Large business / global companies / sophisticated start-up brands $40-150k+
*We do have brand identity packages for our Tier 1 clients.
Note: Project aspects that increase costs include tight deadlines, in-depth brand strategy, photoshoots, website, additional concepts, revisions, and outside vendors. Project aspects that help decrease costs include a comfortable timeline, ample project notice, and limited rounds of revisions.

With clear project goals and timely collaborative feedback, we can deliver brand identity concepts in 6 weeks. More robust, complex brand identities with numerous deliverables can take 3-6+ months.
As a small design studio, we’re choosy. We take on a limited (delete-our) number of clients and projects each season so we can focus and deliver the best quality deliverables and service. We’re rarely able to take on last-minute work because we carefully schedule out projects, and in some instances, clients are patiently waiting their turn. If you're 100% committed to working with us, let us know right away so we can fit you into our calendar, rearrange or turn down others that haven’t submitted a 50% deposit or approved proposals.
Responsive and timely feedback is critical for a successful project - it’s the biggest job clients have during our process. We work with you to develop appropriate timelines, giving you sufficient time to soak everything up while keeping project momentum going. If feedback is delayed, the delivery date moves back as well, and once beyond your dedicated timeframe, we won’t be able to commit to a deadline. We understand - it can be tricky when a lot of decision-makers are involved, but if you (or a trusted individual) can’t commit to responsive feedback, then our studio isn’t a good fit.
Indecisiveness and delays lead to rushing design. If anything puts our deadlines in jeopardy, we will let you know right away and we appreciate if you return the favor.

We are very flattered that you like our previous work but that would defeat the purpose of branding in the first place. Your brand should be unique to your business. We would be more than happy to build you a custom-fitted brand that will be uniquely your own.
For the Tier 1 brand identity packages, there is a $5,000 non-refundable deposit. We then prorate out the rest of your package price on a monthly basis. Naming projects require 100% of the cost upfront. All print invoices are due before we release your print job to the printer. Our online invoicing system is easy and secure and we accept all major credit cards and checks.
No. We love our jobs—but we are also a for-profit business with bills to pay. Our expertise, combined with the time spent on a project conducting research, crafting strategy, designing, etc, isn’t free. After all, you can’t expect something of value for nothing. No. We do a lot of things here at Test Monki, but testing animals (monkeys or otherwise) is not one of them. To get a better idea of our capabilities see more of What We Do.
